KNEB Sales Manager Kendra Feather was Thursday morning's guest on KNEB's News Extra program to promote the 28th annual KNEB Farm & Ranch Expo.
This year's event will be Friday, February 8th from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday, February 9th from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Scotts Bluff County Event Center at the fairgrounds in Mitchell.
The Expo starts off with the annual Farmers & Ranchers Breakfast on Friday morning from 7 to 9. It's presented courtesy of KNEB, Panhandle Coop, Farm Credit Services of America, 21st Century Equipment and 21st Century Water Technologies.

Miss Nebraska 2012 Mariah Cook of Chadron will be there Friday from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. presented by Sears of Chadron and Scottsbluff. And Miss Wyoming 2012 Lexie Madden of Torrington will be there on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. presented by Floyd's Truck Center.

Activities at Midwest Theater promoted
Billy Estes from the Midwest Theater was guest on News Extra Tuesday morning. He was on the program to remind folks that the Friends of the Midwest Theater Annual Meeting will be held tomorrow (Jan 23) at 5:30 p.m. at the theater.
Also, a reminder that Bearfoot is coming to the theater on Valentine's Day, February 14th. Telluride winner Bearfoot is one of the leading young bands reshaping American roots music. Drawing from a range of musical styles including bluegrass, old-time, folk, country, Cajun, blues and western swing. The female fronted group delivers a powerful live show that features winningly intimate lead vocals, intricate arrangements of award winning original songs, tight harmonies and impressive instrumental prowess.
And a heads up that Grammy Award nominated pianist and songwriter Jim Brickman will be coming to the theater on April 17th. Advance tickets for members will go on sale January 29th and general pubic ticket sales will start on February 12th.

"Choices" to offer customized curriculum at SHS
Cindy Rue, Sue Herdt and Justin Shaddick were guests on News Extra Friday morning. They were here to introduce and explain "Choices", a new extension of Scottsbluff High School that will provide a safe academic environment with customized education for the 21st century.
A community meeting explaining the school will be held on January 16th at 11:30 a.m. at the Platte Valley Bank Community Room. RSVP's are needed for the luncheon. Call 635-6200.

Fundraiser for Children's Miracle Network Friday and Saturday
We were honored to have Miss Western Nebraska, JaCee Pilkington as our guest on KNEB's News Extra program Friday morning.
JayCee was here to talk about a fundraiser for Children's Miracle Network at the Steel Grill in Gering tonight (Friday) and at Bar 64 in Bridgeport tomorrow (Saturday).
Proceeds from all kids meals sold will be donated to the Children's Miracle Network.
