Cow Patty Bingo to be held during Harvest Festival
Linda
Rock and Kim Schledewitz (in cow suit) join Kevin Mooney on KNEB's News
Extra program Thursday morning to promote a fundraiser for Prairie
Haven Hospice this Saturday at the Farm & Ranch Museum's Harvest
Festival.
They will be feature "Cow Patty Bingo." A field will be
painted into a grid, where you will be able to "buy" a square on the
grid for $5.00. If the cow, which will be provided by Steve Flower,
"makes a deposit" in the square you purchased, your name will go into a
drawing with others who purchased that square. The name drawn will win
$100. This fun event will assist Prairie Haven Hospice in raising funds
for their partner in Bunda, Tanzania. (Africa)
Bunda Pallative Care currently serves 500 plus patients with very limited staff and supplies. The number of patients served has been reduced from 700 plus due to limited funds.
Supplies and medicines are extremely limited, volunteers are in need of bicycles to be able to reach their patients who are scattered among many small villages. The program covers a great distance in serving patients. The staff shares a common dream to someday own a vehicle to serve and transport those patients.
For information or to
purchase squares in advance, call 641-5548.
