Misty Stauffer joins Kevin Mooney on
KNEB's News Extra program Thursday morning to talk about the Scotts
Bluff County Fair Pageant and also about the Teresa Scanlan Scholarship,
which will be awarded during the pageant.
The Teresa Scanlan Scholarship was established this year to honor Miss America 2011, Teresa Scanlan. Teresa's journey started out as Miss Scotts Bluff County in 2010. She went on to compete at the State Pageant and was crowned Miss Nebraska 2010. In January 2011, she won the prestigious title of Miss America at the young age of 17. The $500 scholarship will be awarded annually during the Miss Scotts Bluff County Fair Pageant.
To be considered for the scholarship, you must be a contestant in the "Miss" division at Scotts Bluff County Fair Pageant. The recipient will be judged based upon the information she puts on her application for the Scotts Bluff County Fair Pageant. The winner will be announce during the final night of the Scotts Bluff County Fair Pageant.
