Tickets for SHS Shrek the Musical go on sale Feb 3

Scottsbluff High School will be adding an option this year for those wishing to purchase tickets online.  Tickets to SHREK THE MUSICAL will be available beginning February 3rd at www.ronne.com.   Patrons will be able to see a seat map and choose their own seats for the show.  Tickets will be mailed out ($1.75 postage fee) or customers can instead choose at checkout to print the tickets at home for free.  “We had many requests to begin online sales the last couple of years.  This will give our patrons flexibility in purchasing tickets,”  said Brad Ronne, Scottsbluff Vocal Music Instructor.  “With the online presence, we have the flexibility to begin sales much earlier.  This gives patrons an opportunity to purchase tickets anytime,” said Ronne.

Tickets will still be available to be purchased in person at Scottsbluff High School.  Seats can be purchased at the High School West lobby February 3rd through 5th  from 4:00-6:00 PM.  This coincides with the start of online sales.  From February 6th to March 23rd, the box office will close and tickets will only be available online.  In person sales at the high school will resume in addition to the online sales March 24th and run weekdays (4-6 PM) until April 2nd.  The performances run April 3-5 at 7 PM.

Tickets are $10 each.  The company that hosts the ticket distribution adds a $.45 per ticket administration fee to all tickets sold, including in person sales.  The high school will also be accepting credit or debit cards both online and at the box office.  There is a small transaction fee for those who choose to use credit or debit.
SHREK THE MUSICAL, based on the Oscar-winning DreamWorks film that started it all, brings the hilarious story of everyone’s favorite ogre to dazzling new life on the stage. In a faraway kingdom turned upside down, things get ugly when an unseemly ogre – not a handsome prince – shows up to rescue a feisty princess. Throw in a donkey who won’t shut up, a bad guy with a SHORT temper, a cookie with an attitude and over a dozen other fairy tale misfits, and you’ve got the kind of mess that calls for a real hero. Luckily, there’s one on hand…and his name is Shrek. Full of all-new songs, great dancing and breathtaking scenery, SHREK THE MUSICAL is part romance, part twisted fairy tale and all irreverent fun for everyone!
