Earth Day activities promoted on News Extra




Panhandle Coop's Susan Wiedeman and Keep Scottsbluff/Gering Beautiful's Kathy Kropuenske join Kevin Mooney on KNEB's News Extra program Tuesday morning to promote the Earth Day Celebration on Saturday, April 21st at Panhandle Coop's Main Street Market, 401 S. Beltline Highway W. Scottsbluff.

They will be giving away cloth bags when you bring in a bag full of plastic bags starting at 10 a.m. 5 cents a gallon off E-10 Unleaded gas at Plaza Cenex and Northgate Ampride from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Trees will be given away by NPNRD starting at 10 a.m. Household battery collection by the customer service booth in Main Street Market. Electronics collection from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. (a small fee may be charged) Platte Valley Bank will have docu-shredding from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Cardboard collection from Docu-Shred as well. SHS FFA Chapter will be doing nitrate testing on private well water. KNEB-FM will have a live remote from 10 a.m. to noon. Earth Day art will also be on display from Community Christian School.

Auto battery & propane bottle collection - 18" and smaller tire collection from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. (Limit of four tires please)

Recyclables including cardboard, aluminum, plastics, magazines & newspapers by Environmental Services - City of Scottsbluff. Used oil & antifreeze collection by the City of Gering.
